Savannah Betancourt, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist  (#35587) licensed in the state of California. Dr. Betancourt enjoys supporting individuals ages 12+ through concerns like trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, and Autism. With a history in health care psychology, she enjoys collaborating with clients to improve health condition management, substance use concerns, and behavior change. Dr. Betancourt uses a combination of treatment approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness.

Dr. Betancourt takes a trauma-informed approach that allows clients to feel empowered to share only what they are comfortable with. While Dr. Betancourt collaborates with her clients, she ultimately wants them to understand that they are the experts of their own experience and are in charge of their own growth and recovery. She enjoys working with marginalized groups and has worked with many first-time therapy clients who were nervous to address their mental health struggles. Clients who work with Dr. Betancourt report feeling respected, understood, and supported.

Dr. Betancourt received a Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University (APA accredited) in 2023 and completed an APA accredited doctoral internship at Providence Health System in Portland, OR. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California Baptist University in 2016.
