Meng (Chloe) Shen (she/her)
Chloe is an associate therapist in the state of California (AMFT #145659), specializing in cultural differences, relationship dynamics, and grief support. She has experience working with individuals navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and feelings of isolation or disconnection. She also specializes in working with immigrants and children of immigrants. She is passionate about creating a thoughtful and compassionate space for clients to explore their unique stories and find resilience in the face of difficulty.
In her practice, Chloe focuses on supporting clients through the complexities of relationships—whether between parents and children, romantic partners, social circles, or one’s relationship with oneself. Her own journey as an Asian immigrant to the US gives her a deep understanding of the micro cultural differences at home and macro cultural differences in society for immigrants and children of immigrants. Her personal experience as an end-of-life caretaker has given her a deep understanding of the growth that can emerge from grief and loss, allowing her to help clients process and navigate these profound experiences.
As a proud introvert, Chloe values the meaningful connections that emerge from intentional, slow-paced conversations. She works collaboratively with her clients to tailor therapy to their individual needs, recognizing that no single approach works for everyone. She integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic approaches such as Gestalt Therapy and Narrative Therapy in her work.
Chloe earned an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She has worked extensively with individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds and is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for healing and growth.
